Man Charged in 4S Ranch Resident’s Death Misses Arraignment; Arrest Warrant Issued
An arrest warrant was issued earlier this month for the Riverside County man charged with vehicular manslaughter in the August highway death of 4S Ranch resident Carolyn Sue McElhaney.
McElhaney, the proprietor of the Postal Annex in 4S Ranch Village Center and editor of 92127 Magazine and 92129 Magazine, died Aug. 9 when a truck driven by Jackson Redmond rear-ended her automobile on southbound Interstate 15 in Escondido. Two other drivers of other cars were injured in the accident. Jackson Redmond was not injured.
Authorities charged Jackson Redmond with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in late December and scheduled his arraigned in San Diego County Court for Jan. 7; however, Jackson Redmond failed to appear in court and the warrant for his arrest was issued. He apparently remained at large as of Tuesday this week.
