Two more spring fastpitch softball Player Development Clinics are planned in February at Del Norte High School.

The two-hour clinics will focus on fielding, throwing and catching (earlier clinics in January covered hitting and base running):

  • Sunday, Feb. 20 (7-8 years at 9 a.m.; 9-10 years at 11:30 a.m.; 11-14 years at 2 p.m.)
  • Sunday, Feb. 27 (7-8 years at 9 a.m.; 9-10 years at 11:30 a.m.; 11-14 years at 2 p.m.)

Instructors at the clinics include Del Norte High School Varsity Softball Coach Steve Kuptz; former Rancho Bernardo High School and collegiate athlete Kate Elwell; former Escondido High School and Long Island University player Raylene Asman; and returning Nighthawk softball players.

Each clinic is limited to 20 participants – with workouts focusing on the development of the “total player”, incorporating activities designed to develop the players both mentally and physically.  The 4-to-1 instructor to player ratio will enable meaningful instruction to take place on an individual basis.

A $20 donation per session is suggested, with all proceeds benefitting the DNHS Nighthawk Softball program.  For registration information, visit www.eteamz.com/nighthawkfastpitch.
