The guidelines contain more specific information about applicant eligibility and the selection process that the 4SRanch-Del Sur Community Foundation will follow over the next couple of months.  Once applications are reviewed, the members of the 4SRanch~DelSur Community Foundation will vote to decide where the grant making dollars go. The deadline for grant applications is January 18, 2013.

Each year, the 4SRanch~DelSur Community Foundation selects an “area-of-interest” based on membership input and research from the Foundation’s Grants Committee. Following the “area-of-interest” selection, the Grants Committee researches relevant national and regional materials for background and context, and conducts local level research through interviews with local community leaders, citizens and experts in order to promote an open dialogue, collaboration and idea flow.  Grant guidelines are created, ratified by the 4SRanch~DelSur Community Foundation and The San Diego Foundation Boards, and then released to the community for applications.  Upon selection, grant monies will be distributed in May 2013.

The goal of the members of the 4S Ranch ~ Del Sur Community Foundation members is to leverage small resources and use collective giving to have a great impact in the community.  The Foundation grants, have proven to have had just that sort of impact for the emerging needs of 4SRanch~Del Sur communities and are encouraging and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy by and for the benefit of all who live and give in the community.

The 4SRanch~DelSur Community Foundation is part of a network of local affiliates of The San Diego Foundation, each serving the unique needs of communities throughout the region.
