Anne Von Dyl Finds Passion in Her Professional Life

While new words are consistently cropping up in the English language, “femfessional” isn’t one you’ll find in the dictionary – yet. Ask Anne Von Dyl of Del Sur, and she’ll have an answer for you.
After twenty years of work in sales and development for San Diego based companies, Anne Von Dyl recognized her own “femfessional” status. In addition to standing as current head of business development for the Better Business Bureau of San Diego and Imperial Counties, Anne also serves as the chapter president for FemCity San Diego, an organization committed to the professional growth of business women. “I take it as an honor to be given this opportunity to establish a resource for business women to use to help their business expand and careers grow,” Anne stated.
Originally from San Diego, Anne is excited about bringing the opportunities of FemCity to her hometown. The local chapter, one of 51 chapters across the country, hosts workshops, programs, and events to motivate, inspire, and support the growing community of Femfessionals in San Diego. These women are characterized by their ambitious and driven professional life, as well as their positive attitudes, open mindedness, and commitment to bettering their professional and personal communities. “To hear about their professional journeys; the risks, the sacrifices and challenges they face are nothing short of inspiring,” Anne acknowledged.

This is why I am thrilled to establish a Femfessionals chapter in my hometown,” Anne shared.
Beyond her service to FemCity, Anne also spends time volunteering at her sons’ elementary schools. Anne and her husband, Lance, have been married twenty years and have two sons, ages ten and eight. Family time includes all the San Diego favorites: bike rides, dog walking, and days at the beach.
As a mother, wife, business woman, and volunteer, Anne lives the life of a Femfessional. Today, she is inspired to create a community that nurtures these simultaneous and demanding roles for San Diego’s business women. With Anne’s passion for FemCity San Diego and her connections within the business community, “femfessional” may soon become a commonplace word in professional circles.
