The PTSA will host a Shred-A-Thon and E-Waste Drop-Off fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shredding and E-Waste collection will take place in front of the Sears Outlet located in the Carmel Mountain Plaza Shopping Center Parking Lot. This event will help raise funds to support the RBHS PTSA programs such as No Place for Hate, Kindness Matters, and Grad Nite.

This event is supported by PROSHRED (www.proshred.com), Link Serve E-Waste (www.linkservewaste.com), and Terri Hunter Keller Williams Realty (www.hunt4homes.info).

Bring your boxes of shredables and donate $5 per box or $20 for 5 boxes of shredables; $20 per hard drive (which includes destruction) for hard drive removal; $10 per hard drive for hard drive destruction (drives that have already been removed from computer). The types of e-waste you can drop off are TVs, monitors, computers, LCD screens, CRT screens, plasma screens, laptops, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, computer towers, stereo systems, cell phones, speakers, telephones, uninterruptable power supply (UPS), VCRs, DVD Players, servers, and power cords and strips.

Through community support last year the RBHS PTSA shredded and recycled tons of materials. For questions call 858-829-5190 or e-mail at ptsa.rbhs@gmail.com.
