Rancho Bernardo Woman’s Club (RBWC) members Sue Wahl, Fern Kravets, and Lucille Rabinowitz delivered 50 children’s books to Rady Children’s Hospital and 60 stuffed animals to the Ronald McDonald House across the street, where they will be added to the welcome baskets given to families staying at the house. The stuffed animals and books were donated by members and guests who attended RBWC’s holiday luncheon in December. The club has donated hundreds of stuffed animals and children’s books since the philanthropy project was first started in 2012.

RBWC was formed in 1964 and officially became a nonprofit community service organization in 1966. The club now works to help young women in the community obtain an education through gifts, grants, and loans. Club membership is open to women of all ages in RB and surrounding areas. Luncheon meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the RB Inn.
