The Rancho Bernardo Community Council (RBCC) will be hosting two events in the coming months. The first is the inaugural Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Ed Brown Center for Active Adults. The fair will feature 28 booths by various exhibitors, a craft center for children, presentations, eco-friendly raffle items, free reusable tote bags for adults, and fresh fruit. Every child who brings five recyclable cans or bottles will receive a special gift.

RBCC will host the 7th Annual Chalk It Up! event on Saturday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rancho Bernardo Community Park. The free, family-friendly event gives people of all ages the opportunity to express themselves with sidewalk chalk. RBCC will supply each participant with a bucket of chalk to complete their art. Prizes will be awarded for first through third place in six age categories, as well as a prize for the overall winner. There will also be free refreshments and an opportunity drawing.
