Community Milestone

x_westwood4June 20 marks the 50th anniversary of the Westwood Club’s original incorporation. While the amenities available have remained unchanged for much of that time, the club has still evolved to meet the community’s needs over the years. The 13-acre recreation space began with just a pool and playground in 1968, adding a gymnasium and the other upper quad buildings in the early ’70s. A mini golf course and walking path have also been added, and remodels have kept the fitness studio, pools, lockers, and gymnasium up-to-date. “It was meant to attract families with children,” explained Steven Fluss, Westwood Club General Manager. Today, it continues to do just that, offering members summer camps, swim and tennis lessons, preschool, fitness, facility rentals, and more.

“This is a neighborhood that has aged gracefully.”

x_westwood3“As one of the first home-owners associations in the area, our ARC committee has been able to keep the homes looking nice for close to 50 years,” Steven shared. “This is a neighborhood that has aged gracefully. The club is a gathering place for many local to the area. We feel we have and will continue to provide our family of members generations of lasting memories.”
