International Smoke, a dining collaboration between award-winning chef Michael Mina and renowned restauranteur Ayesha Curry, officially opened its doors at One Paseo in July. The menu showcases flavorful smoke-infused dishes, diverse spices, traditional live fire cooking techniques, and creative cocktails, as well as vegan options, kid-friendly fare on the Lil Smokey’s menu, and a Fido’s Feast dog menu.
Fresh From the Farm
The Rancho Bernardo area is home to two weekly farmers markets, giving residents plenty of opportunities to find fresh produce, delicious food, and local crafts. Visit the Rancho Bernardo Farmers Market at 16535 Via Esprillo on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Rancho Bernardo Certified Farmers Market & Specialties is held Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bernardo Winery. Both make a perfect lunchtime excursion, whether taking a break from your workday or bringing along the whole family.
Sabre Springs’ Nutmeg Bakery and Cafe is expanding to Scripps Ranch with a new location scheduled to open in September. The popular cafe serves up organic, seasonal, and sustainable breakfast and lunch plates, homemade pastries, and locally roasted coffee. The Scripps Ranch location will also offer draft beer in addition to the mimosa menu.
